Step 3 - Design Development
|
This is the fun part of the process as all the components come together. With an approved layout, the Interior Designer presents a selection of material samples from which the final palette will be chosen. By limiting the number of selections from the vast choices available, the process is streamlined to meet the design shedule. While materials are being selected and specified, construction documents are being prepared to meet requirements of the suppliers, trades and governing jurisdictions. Not all projects require a building permit, though most projects require permits for related mechanical, electrical or plumbing. Upon completion of the selection process, a Scope of Work document organizes all elements of the project in a concise and understandable format.
