Step 2 - Space Planning
|
Perhaps the most critical phase of design is properly laying out the space. A remodel without effective space planning is what we affectionately call a "remuddle". If you have seen homes that obviously had an addition put on, or enter a new kitchen that just doesn't "feel" right, then you can appreciate the difference proper space planning has on functional aesthetics. After measuring the site, every project goes through a feasibility check. There is no point in preparing completed construction documents that can't be built. This phase requires professionally trained architects and/or interior designers. By maintaining these talents on staff, we are able to control the design program relative to the construction budget. |
