Jobsite Signage
With most projects, we place a company site sign on your property. In addition to being used as a marketing tool, site signs help trade contractors and suppliers locate the jobsite.
Jobsite Access
Prior to starting your project, we will agree upon a pathway for our workers, construction equipment, and vehicles to navigate. Whether it is through the front door or around the house, it is important to identify and protect interior surfaces and outside structures, plants, and flower beds.
Safety
We take precautions to protect your family from toxic dust, chemicals and work area hazards. A detailed safety plan is designated for every project. After work hours, saws are put away and the construction area is left in a broom clean condition. We encourage our clients to guard against children and pets from entering a remodeling worksite.
Salvage Materials
Does the existing structure contain any materials (such as fixtures or cabinetry) that you would like to save from demolition? If so, we need to discuss where you want to store them. It is important that we identify these issues prior to starting your project. Some materials can be donated for 2nd use or environmentally friendly disposal. We question items to salvage at the pre-construction meeting.
Utility Interruptions
At certain stages of construction, your home may be affected by the need to turn off water, gas and/or electricity. It's important we discuss the anticipated shut-off dates prior to starting your project.
Clean-Up
Will sweeping be sufficient for daily cleaning or will you need a more thorough cleaning in order to use the space? How thorough do you want the final clean-up to be? These are important questions that need to be addressed and agreed upon up front.
Start and Stop Times
What times will our workers begin and end work at your home? Be sure to consider the neighbors as well as household members. You may want us to contact your neighbors and give them a phone number to call if they have a concern about your project.
Parking
Where can our workers park near your jobsite?
Phone
Will you allow our workers to use your phone for local business calls should there be limited cell service?
Bathroom
Will any bathroom facilities in your home be available for our crew or would you prefer a sanitary site toilet be provided?
Language
We have a policy that forbids profanity on the jobsite.
Radios
Will you allow our workers to play their radios at a reasonable volume?
