This stark kitchen was uninviting and space-deprived as the central meeting point for this young family who loves to entertain. The small U-shape made it difficult to maneuver around, awkward to access lower cabinetry, and the tiled counters were a challenge to keep clean. With less than 130 available square feet, the new design was limited to keeping all plumbing, electrical, and appliances in their original locations without affecting the existing hardwood flooring.
