Architectural design was first offered in-house in 1990. Prior to hiring our first architectural designer, all design work was contracted with outside design firms. We found the greatest struggle with utilizing an outside firm was the inability to keep the design in line with the budget.

Over the years, the design department grew as Tenhulzen Remodeling, Inc. continued perfecting the Design/Build process. An addition to the office building was completed in 1996 for the sole purpose of housing architectural and interior designers, as well as the most current materials and finishes the industry has to offer.
